A public address system in a refinery, fertiliser plant or cement works has a very different job from an office paging system. It must be heard over machinery, survive dust, heat and moisture, and keep working when something goes wrong.

Start by mapping your zones. Note the ambient noise level in each area, whether the area is classified hazardous, and how far the cable runs will be. This tells you how many speakers, what power rating and which amplifier size you need.

For hazardous areas, flameproof stations and speakers are mandatory. For general areas, weatherproof units with FRP canopies give long life at lower cost. Mixing both on one system is common and fully supported.

Finally, decide between a conventional analog system and an IP based system. Analog is proven and simple; IP gives you zone-wise control, monitoring and easy expansion over your existing network. Our team can walk you through both.
